Athens, Plaka and Temples. Finding Joy In Each Moment.
Yesterday I went to Athens. To prepare for the drive I got up, did my morning meditation and qigong practices, and went for a quick beach run. I'm not so fond of driving or being amongst large groups of people..........however I'm in Greece and have been looking forward to experiencing these ancient Greek monuments!!! So I do what I need to do to help ground myself for the day!!!
Here we are made it to the city, starting out in @tkappa's old neighborhood, we head out on the town!

There are two men here at all times, to represent all Greeks who have been in the army for all time. They rotate in 2 hour shifts.

Plaka, where we take a moment to sit, preparing for the Acropolis. I eat too much yogurt and honey............. while listening to these sweet songbirds stuck in those tiny cages......

Barred from the Temple of Zeus!
This is the temple of Zeus from the view of my phone as ti sneaks a picture from inside the bars. Zeus is a very powerful god, of course I asked his permission first, he gladly gave me permission and he shared his great anger at such bars placed around his temple! His temple is for the people for people to come and be, not to be separated from!
Now we are in front of the oldest theature in the world.

@tkappa thank you for the amazing day! And thank you for your patience while I tried on awesome Greek clothes, which of course always takes a little time.............this is why I rarely shop for clothes, it's time consuming!

Are your wife and her friends coming to @aumsong's workshop in Corinth this weekend? The train from Athens goes to Loutraki, and the hotel is nice and inexpensive. Give her a weekend off!

Your wife and son can stay in the same hotel room with your wife. And you and your son can do many things while the ladies are in their seminars. I will be around in Loutraki, but can come to Corinth too. It is just a 20 minute or less drive. I think that your family would find it a rewarding weekend!
