RE: Steemit Open Mic Week 124 - Record Your Performance And Win Steem - Sponsored By @pfunk And @luzcypher
Well, my multi-talented friend - you just keep surprising me pleasantly. I didn't even know you knew how to play piano, and I love the choice of Eagles - one of my all-time favorites. And let me acknowledge your courage, as well. As much as public speaking is infamous for evoking fear in those who must undertake it, I have to say that performing playing an instrument and singing accompaniment has got to be a level beyond such fear! You go, girl!
Lol! You are so sweet! I was going to be a concert pianist, started lessons when I was 5. At age 15, my teacher had to break the bad news to me: My hands were too little, I can barely span an octave. I played for a few weddings, then gave up all notion of being a professional musician. As a kid, I had no stage fright over anything, ever. I can still speak publicly but could not play in public. I can only do this because it is in the privacy of my home and I do not have to feel anyone's eyes on me... Once it is recorded, I just can't care what people think. I have no delusions that I am fabulous so you cannot hurt my feelings pointing out that I am not that good, and I still play better than most of the people who would be inclined to insult me lol!
Thanks for the encouragement!
