La canción que elegí esta semana para el #openmic se llama What's Up de 4 non blondes. Es una de mis favoritas de los años 90, y me pareció perfecta ya que la interprete junto con @carlosvidal un gran amigo con quien pude compartir muchísimos momentos divertidos esta semana, que estuve de vacaciones en Cumaná - Edo Sucre. Espero que la disfruten como nosotros al grabarla. ❤

Dato curioso
Pese a que el nombre de la canción se titula What's Up? (¿qué pasa?), nunca aparece esta frase en la canción. La que si predomina es la expresión what's goin' on? (¿qué está pasando?) insistentemente en el coro. Finalmente optaron por el título "What's Up?" para evitar la confusión entre el nombre de la canción y el álbum de Marvin Gaye de 1971 "What's Going On". Esta canción narra la historia de un joven de veinticinco años que tras la frase “¿qué está pasando?” trata de entender cuál es su papel y función en el mundo que lo rodea.

The song that I chose this week for #openmic is called What's Up of 4 non blondes. It is one of my favorites from the 90s, and it seems perfect that I interpret it together with @carlosvidal a great friend with whom I can share memorable moments that is used this week, which is a day of Cumaná - Edo Sucre. I hope you enjoy it as we did when we recorded it.

Curious fact
Although the name of the song is called What's Up? (What's up?), This phrase never appears in the song. The one that predominates is the expression what's goin 'on? (What's happening?) Insistently in the chorus. Finally they chose the title "What's Up?" to avoid confusion between the name of the song and Marvin Gaye's 1971 album "What's Going On." This song tells the story of a young man of twenty-five who after the phrase "what's happening?" Tries to understand what his role and function is in the world around him.
