We are closing another amazing week at the #openmic my friends. It warms my heart that my amazing community has kept on keeping on regardless of what happens with these unpredictable crypto markets. Much love and respect to the musical warriors.

Without any more delays, here we go:

First Place.-

Serena has slowly but surely become one of my favorite songwriters of all time and I'm not exaggerating when I say that. I can't help but to connect with her songs at a deep emotional level, they never cease to leave me vulnerable after listening, I just can't keep my composure.

Everytime the "You" would hit, I had to take a deep breath... what a beautiful special song... just magical.

Second Place.-

@alcoholisedbsoul - Unbreak my heart (cover)

This is not a simple song to perform, and you ladies did amazing. I was blown away by the vocal talent of the performance. The fact that you switched back and forth for the lead was a special touch too, and of course the blend of the harmonies was top notch.

Bravo!!!

Third Place.-

@lillywilton - How loved you are (original)

Lilly is so talented it's almost annoying. She never misses, I mean, has she missed? Since her first entry, every single time she puts out a song on this blockchain I'm always captivated by her.... always.

She might be evil, she just might... but I'm the willing victim, so it's all good.

Fourth Place.-

@katrina-ariel - Back to myself(original)

I'm a sucker for original songs, and I love digging deep into lyrics, so of course, this song had to be on my list for the week. Katrina is such a talented musician, I wonder if she knows how talented she is. In any case I'm glad she is brave enough to share these vulnerable tunes with us.

Fifth Place.-

Some performances are so emotional, so honest, they just capture you. This is precisely what happened to me while listening to @minuetoacademy this week. And honestly, if you are able to listen to his performance and not feel it, consult a physician.

I would like to personally thank @ausbitbank, @curie and @aggroed for helping out our community. It's inspiring to see leadership taking the initiative to keep our beloved #openmic alive like this and its to me the biggest bullish indicator that we are on our way to a better, brighter tomorrow.

To our long time patron @pfunk once again, thank you for backing this project as you have for so long. I hope seeing the community rally behind the contest that we love so much made you proud. We have something very special here, and you've been key for it to be what it has become.

But hey friend, before you leave my post musical brother or musical sister, please know that despite the fact that we call this a competition, even though my post says first, second, third place, that is not what matters about the #openmic. In the end of the day the judges are just as human, as flawed and beautiful as everyone else on this planet. The ethos of this contest, of this community, is simply for us to have special place to share our passion for music, for us to laugh together, to cry together and explore emotions that everyday life seems to neglect in one way or another.

Every single one of you is valuable to me, so thank you for being part of my musical family...
