I've been a little all over the place lately, I guess from the title it sounds as if I've been misbehaving, but I promise that is not the case. It's just an expression that seems to fit for the moment being.

   The truth is that is not easy for me to sit still, there are so many things to do on Steem, so many amazing projects, amazing ideas, that I feel like if I'm not actively doing something, I'm missing out. My head has been brainstorming some new things lately, among them a way to get more veteran Steemians Involved with @helpie.

What is @helpie, you ask?

   This project actually started in my mind a few months ago already, my girl and I sat down maybe sipping some wine or beer and brainstormed something we could do to bring a little more value to the platform. I've said plenty of times that the one thing that can really help with user retention is user education, so somehow I knew this was the direction we needed to take.

   I'm not trying to sound negative or condescending. It's just not a simple system, but it's also not too much fun to learn about Steem, to learn about cryptos and manage to do so quickly enough as to not get completely unmotivated to continue.

   So far the project is doing absolutely great, and with the support of great witnesses like the friendly @gmuxx and the altruistic @ausbitbank the project got its legs so fast, I feel like pinching myself almost daily.

What about the other Cookie Jars?

   Some of you might know I've been an active member of the #openmic family for a while. As part of the family we ran a very successful and fun contest dubbed the Songwriters Challenge. We are planning to bring this back of course and do a Season 2 soon enough, but starting today I will throw in my hat with the main OpenMic Weekly contest.

   In other words, I'm officially a judge of the #openmic . To say I'm excited is to put it lightly, to say im grateful is to try to describe an ocean using a cup of water. I'm ecstatic, excited and pumped up! The #openmic is not only my favorite contest on this blockchain and has been since I found it. But it's also a place where I have met and network with some of the best human beings I've ever had the pleasure to interact with.

The Songwriter Shop Talk Show on MSP Waves is doing Great

   With two fun and amazing episodes recorded and uploaded, the experience so far has been amazing for me. I fully expect this week to be as much fun as the last, and I can't wait to do it all over again.

   I intend to do my best to continue to learn, continue to grow and continue to help everyone I can do the same. I may sound like a broken record, but I mean it, and every time I say it it sounds more and more like the truest of truths.

This is just the beginning my friends, this year is going to be the best one yet!!!
