STEEMIT OPEN MIC WEEK 58 (Original Composition) / Mogati ~ Calor ("warmth")
Hello Steemit!
@gokulramdas and I are so excited to share our original "Calor" with all of you for the Open Mic Week 58 :) This song is very special to us, because it is what brought us together as a duo a few years ago. Since then, we decided to write together as Mogati, combining sounds from both our cultures, Chile and India.
We recorded this a few days ago in our house and have been working on the edit of the video, in the process we realized that I said week 57 instead of 58 :( We weren't sure if we should post it because of that but we already did all the work so here it goes anyways!! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did playing!!

really struck by your effortless sense of phrasing over the shifting meter .Any tips for how to learn these kinds of rhythmic patterns?! So beautiful thank you.
hey! thank you :) and well...is a tough question haha. I guess playing and experimenting with friends helps me. Of course, a lot of repetition is important to get used to the way these patterns feel.

Oh wow, this was awesome! Wicked syncopation between the guitar and drum and beautiful vocals to top it off.

Wow. You both just totally blew me away. Just an absolutely magical connection between you two, the rhythms are so intricate and playful, and warm guitar playing, and gorgeous singing.
