*What can I say about the talented Zippy, I found her entry to be one of those songs that was designed to hit you right in the feels. It's not secret that I'm a sucker for emotional music, for emotional deliveries, and the songs that speak to my soul are the ones that tell stories of hope, songs that are able to convey the longing for an emotional home, a safe place to call home.
It's exactly for this reason the lyrics resonated with me so much, aside from possessing a beautiful voice, and a kind soul that comes out in her writing effortlessly, the performance was just the icing on the cake for me. Thank you for sharing this little musical treasure with us Zippy.* - @meno

My sentiments on why I have placed you once again in my top 5 are akin to @meno's explanation as well. I am known for favoring original music, check, I love music that means something deep and is personally reflective and inspiring, check, I want to feel and be in tune with the performer because it is evident that they truly care about the music they are sharing because it has a purposeful and intentional impact/storyline, check. Not only do you sing beautifully on your Bluebird Microphone (a beauty by the way) your story is just compelling and adds so much depth with how intimately you have interwoven the care within your lyrics, which continue to showcase a raw realness and vulnerability that is fused within your original masterpieces. - What a beautiful song this is, and very fitting for Valentine's Week I guess. I suspect this second fact might have been intentional. I'm a bit of a romantic person myself, so of course as I was listening to the smooth sounds of the soothing melody, the lyrics resonated with me.
A beautiful tribute to the girl that became his wife, do I need to say more? I can almost imagine all the visits, the little dates, the discovery and the process of falling in love with her. A special tune, a musical story with a happy ending.* - @meno
Brooding as I was on Wednesday, missing the tenderness of that special kind of love, Trevor’s “Little Bird” hit home and brightened all such darkness I had been harboring that day. Despite describing how he missed such love himself, “Little Bird” shed a glowing light on the desires and hopes that envelop each of us when we find that ever-so-elusive and enduring love with that very special someone we call our own. I am still in deep shock as to coming top on the list Out of these many Great singers that is if push comes to shove everyone deserved a spot to be on this top list. My entry for the week 72 came in almost late, and when i posted i checked over and again just to know that @luzcypher had seen and approved it via that big badge he posts, but didn't see it for bout 2 days. I must say i became very worried with the fear that my effort was gonna go down the drain unnoticed, the worry however increased when i didn't see what I'd call an affirmatory comment from sir Passion ground. The confirmation however came finally from both luzcypher and @passion-ground and that was it... I finally was happy that they'd get to see what I've done and help me get better... Of course they did, and I'm grateful for that.
I always try to come up with the best of performances in my arts (music and football) and the openmic contest has given i and my likes that platform to grow and get better and most importantly "get appreciated"bigtime... I remain ever grateful to @luzcypher for putting this contest together... to @pfunk the witness for his benevolence week in, week out, and to our dynamic judges
