Steemit Open Mic Week 50 - 26-2 by John Coltrane
This is my first Steemit Open Mic!
I chose to play the melody of 26-2, a song by one of my favorite saxophone players, John Coltrane. He recorded it on the album Coltrane's Sound which was released in 1964. The chord changes, which you can only infer from this acapella rendition, are based on the changes to Charlie Parker's tune Confirmation. I don't know the significance of the numbers of 26 and 2 in the song's title. If you know, or want to guess, please comment!

👏👏👏 Enjoyed that. An a capella sax piece leaves nowhere to hide and that sounded spot onto me. I am a big fan of chords but I would struggle to sus out all of those but then TBH, I am not a jazz aficionado! 👍😊
