I just cant get enough out of this band, honestly their music is just on another level, the crazy arangements, the time signatures, the different settings and moods they create with their compositions, its just modern day jazz put perfectly into definition. The first time i heard from this band i was starting at the university in musical production and everybody was talking about them, took me time to find a song from them because i couldnt remember the name of the band, even though its awesome. lingus was this song, and it blew me away, i still think to this date that Corey Henry´s solo on the second movement its one of the best keyboard solos of all time, but i guess y'all are going to have to wait for that on the second part of this video coming soon!

Now, about putting this video together, well for my part i have to say that it was a real challenge to pull this one off, i've been hearing this son for so long im actually thinking that if i was forced to listen to a single band for the rest of my life i would pick Snarky Puppy ...or Hiatus Kayiote, i would have to be a thing of the moment, nevertheless i think that if i wouldnt listen to them so much i still wouldnt have learend the song, freaking Larnell Lewis its just a beast! he just fills like no other...
and about the team, well lads, its been hell of a week, @joseacabrerav, @moccamonica, @willins, @abelfernandez and my humble attempt at this whole lot of crazyness to bring new things for the openmic every time its been at last rewarding, finally we´re working with other steemians from the openmic and it has been the best. we´re not done yet though, there are still more of you out here that we would love to work with so heads up!

and thats pretty much it for this week of the openmic from the @smollrecord team i reall hoped that you liked our efforts and stay tuned for whats next!

Simplemente no puedo escuchar suficiente de esta banda, sinceramente su música está en otro nivel, los Locos arreglos, las marcas de tiempo, los diferentes ajustes y estados de ánimo que crean con sus composiciones, es simplemente el jazz moderno puesto perfectamente en la definición. La primera vez que escuché de esta banda que estaba comenzando producción musical en la universidad y todo el mundo estaba hablando de ellos, me tomó un tiempo encontrar una canción de ellos porque no podía recordar el nombre de la banda, a pesar de que es increíble. lingus era esta canción, y me dejó boquiabierto, todavía creo que el solo de Corey Henry en el segundo movimiento es uno de los mejores solos de teclado de todos los tiempos, pero supongo que tendran que esperar para eso en la segunda parte de este video próximamente!

Ahora, acerca de cómo grabamos este video, bueno por mi parte, tengo que decir que fue un verdadero desafío sacar esto de aquí, he estado escuchando a este grupo por tanto tiempo, realmente estoy pensando que si me obligaran a escuchar a una sola banda por el resto de mi vida, escogería Snarky Puppy ... o Hiatus Kayiote, tendría que ser una cosa del momento, sin embargo, creo que si no los escucharía tanto, todavía no me sabría la canción, Larnell Lewis es literalmente una bestia! él simplemente hace fills como ningún otro ...
y sobre el equipo, muchachos, ha sido tremenda semana, @joseacabrerav, @moccamonica, @willins, @abelfernandez y mi humilde intento de este montón de locura para traer cosas nuevas para el Openmic cada vez ha sido finalmente gratificante, al fin estamos trabajando con otros Steemians del Openmic y ha sido lo mejor, pero aún no hemos terminado, todavía hay más de ustedes aquí con los que nos gustaría trabajar, así que pendientes!
