What is ONO Super Partner and Why you can be one too?
At this point of time, whatever that you read on the Whitepaper about ONO is the blueprint of what ONO is and aspires to be.
It is not open to the International Market yet, but things are already taking shape in China.
Earlier, it’s been reported that 50,000 initial applications for their first users has been sent out and I believe this number has increased so much now.
What I saw in the Whitepaper earlier were huge potentials. Just like what I stated on my first posting about ONO. I was attracted to the values and I really want to be part of it to champion it.
I love Steemit, and I admit that there are days when I do not feel like writing too much and just share my thoughts, the shortest way possible. Yet, I do share about it to others who are not on the platform yet.
True to my life tagline, Never be afraid to try anything once, I took the initiative and went ahead to apply for the above role. Sent my interview video but have no idea that it will ended up on Youtube. It was a one off take and if I have known, I could have dolled up and edit where required. Lols!
2 days after it was posted up. I was surprised to see the amazing reactions.
2.9k views and 677 dislikes.
Suddenly I felt like Thanos in Avengers. Probably the much hated person in the Universe. Wow, I didn’t know I have so much haters out there. 677 people that hates me and I don’t even know who they are or where they come from!
I then compared the reaction numbers with other candidates videos (some were much earlier than me) and the average views are nowhere above 40. So clearly something is amiss and alerted the relevant parties. Cyber bullies are everywhere.
You see, each of these candidates are unique in their own ways. Some of them have never led or grow communities in their life. Some are just talented or passionate with what they do. Some just want to be part of something interesting and help it grow. But each expressed interest in building up the communities.
So really, you do not need to proof much of your credentials to be able to show others that you can do certain jobs. This is what makes ONO interesting.
IT VALUES EQUALITY.
If you are a Receptionist, talks to so many people in your life but never had a chance to explore your potentials and wonder if you can go for the role, go for it!
If you have always been hiding behind the computer, write scripts and sell them but always wonder if you could make a difference in the community, go for it.
Don’t limit yourself of what you can do, go out, explore and find out. And don’t let others define you because they don’t really know WHO you are. If you let them define you, you are selling yourself cheap.
You have passion, go for it. You have ideas, explore it. You have mission, do it. You know yourself well to know your own capabilities and limitation.
Whatever the platform you choose to explore your potential, you do not need to ask anyone’s permission to do it.
Oh, I have been asked these questions earlier by mystery admirers on my video. Thought I’d share it here.
So here goes:
- You only have been on Steemit for a short period of time (that’s right, in Oct 2017 and NOT Nov 2017 dude), so how can you claim to have develop the Community?
- You have qualification and data to proof your eligibility?
- Are you sure you are a Community builder and not a substandard one?
- You put down other people’s hard work in developing the Steemit community, why don’t you shut your account and move elsewhere?
- You have grievances about Steemit, go find someone to share.
Yes the questions and accusations are harsh.
And I will not even ask anyone those questions IF I DON’T KNOW them well.
If I have NEVER sit with you or share a common hobby together, chat or have coffee with you in person or text you even after midnight because I know you will reply me, then I don’t know you well enough to judge you nor for you to judge me.
One thing for sure, I don’t judge people immediately. I accept that people have flaws and faults. And because of that, we can’t simply sentence others to emotional blackmail and accusation just to satisfy our needs or to achieve our mission. Frankly, the above questions may provoke anyone to react but I choose not to.
It’s normal that when people cannot accept others that works differently than them, they will react negatively.
So here’s my answer:
You only have been on Steemit for a short period of time (that’s right, its in Oct 2017 dude not Nov 2017), so how can you claim to have develop the Community?
I develop my community and give back in my own ways way back before Oct 2017. I really don’t need to be on Steemit too long to prove what I have done. And the amount of time I put doesn’t necessarily translate that I have successfully develop community because that entirely depends on how the community thrives. My job is to kick start, guide and let it grow from there. Community is free to do whatever they want. But I am always there if they needed any advice or feedback.
You have qualification and data to proof your eligibility?
Do you need to show your qualification and data to proof your sincerity to help? I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to do the job. You only need time, planning and effort to work on it. It’s all about finding what works.
Are you sure you are a Community builder and not a substandard one?
How do I know if I have never start one for ONO yet? Instead of asking me this question, why don’t we work together, support and complement one another in areas that we are weak at and be Super Partners together?
You put down other people’s hard work in developing the Steemit community, why don’t you close your account and move elsewhere?
I don’t think anyone has the rights or authority to tell anybody to do this. Steemit account is for everyone and one can choose to write or stop anytime they wish. I don’t think I have specifically mention that other’s initiative are not appreciated. However, I did say Steemit can improve and it is mostly about its backend and rewarding mechanics.
You have grievances about Steemit, go find someone to share.
I don’t have grievances about Steemit but I do have questions and doubts, and I wish I could go to a dedicated support group (like a customer service of sort), but there isn’t any. Yes, because it’s a decentralise platform, I get it why we are unable to.
So, what is my grand plan as a Super Partner?
Well, I don’t know yet. I usually go with the flow of wherever it leads me to.
All I know is that I need to kick start now, do what’s needed and grow from there. The community are the users, they will eventually multiply accordingly. What needs to be set in place in the beginning is awareness and education.
The real challenge is, being humans and until the app is available out there, community will continue to guess how good is ONO? Perhaps when it launches Internationally, the Community will grow by itself without us working so hard at it!
What’s important is that I make sure I adhere to the values of ONO.
In case some of you are not sure what exactly is the role of a Super Partner, to be honest it is truly NOT a Grand job. It is potentially difficult and since people may have limited skills, it can be challenging too. But there is no harm to TRY and see how it goes from there. Even if you have never build a Community yet or drive any mega events, it’s not too late to TRY and EXPLORE. Perhaps you will discover something you thought you never had.
At the end of the day, it’s up to the ONO’s team to process and decide. So the Youtube video is not the ultimate answer of your success or failure.
In a nutshell, here’s an extract of what Super Partner role is all about:
Super partners are loyal guardians of social network values and are the perpetrators of compromised social networking content. Not only that, the super partners are obliged to pass ONO and its values, popular science, develop and assist more community partners and volunteers.
The mission of the super partners is to maintain the security, freedom and decentralization of the ONO social network, execution of harmful content, prevention of user evils, and transmission of ONO values. This will be the precondition for the ONO social network to flourish.
Super partners should be: loyal, kind, self-controlled, humble, long-term vision and firm belief, serving all humanity.
So the role is not as glamorous as one would thought.
But why did I choose it?
Because I get to ensure harmony is in place and values are respected. And when that happens people will strive to do good to one another and spread more positivity.
The rewards or whatever that comes with it is subjective. It’s the satisfaction to see something positive takes off and grow from there.
So what are the principles that guided ONO to create this platform?
• Well, you create and therefore you earn. People can share and comment, you will still earn. This is similar to Steemit, although the rewarding value would be different.
• It’s build for the Users, not for bots or services that comes with it.
• Everyone’s voice must be heard, they use referendums to mitigate disputes.
• It is an open, diverse ecosystem that everyone can choose what they want to see on their app. The system has a built in complex algorithms to prevent good content left unnoticed.
Ultimately, we look forward to explore this wonderful platform. And the best thing is we get rewarded on it unlike other social media platforms.
I have created ONOSocial Malaysia group page for everyone to get updates on ONO’s activities and meet ups. Do use it to post questions, initiatives, etc.
Likewise, whether I get to be a Super Partner or not, I look forward to work together with others to build ONO.
Instead of going against each other, why not support one another and benefit together? True leader supports the growth of others, work well with one another and accepts each other's strengths & weaknesses. They do not take sides and stand firm on common goodness. They do not see competition as a threat but see it as a potential collaboration or opportunity to better themselves or the business.
Be genuine not vengeful. If others have a chance to shine, be happy for them and supportive.
Why play against each other when you can play together? The playground is for everybody to share.

Communities are funny things. They look to the leader for general guidelines and then they tend to grow and morph into their own unique entity. Because of all the different personalities, each community is a bit different from each other. They take on a life of their own and with a good leader who exercises fairness and a light touch, they grow into what their members need and want. Negative, heavy handed community leaders tend to stifle that growth. Fair minded leaders who bring a positive outlook tend to stimulate that growth.
I look forward to seeing how the communities of ONO progress and grow. This is such an exciting time.
Thats right @kay-leclerc, each leaders leads differently but using intimidation or fear is never one of them. Guide people with compassion and understanding.
I don't get why people are comparing STEEM and ONO as its clearly 2 totally different platform for different purposes. Its like trying to compare FB & Reddit.
Good luck in getting Super Partner / Community Builder . The road is a challenging one for sure .
I dont understand too Mon @bitrocker2020. What is there to compare at this point? Clearly they are different in a lot of ways, and people can choose whichever platforms they wish to be. Either way they still earn and build communities. Whatever the differences might be, we can work together and not against each other. Malaysia is so small ☹️☹️
@originalworks
There you go..
Already like the fb page.. good initiative @angichine28. Still digesting the input abut ONO esp the ONOT... Pray the success of this social media working smoothly. I don't know how I can contribute yet.. but like to explore the opportunities :)
Once we have the app this month, it will be easier to figure out the ONOT :-) I believe it will work well because in China over 50k users are already using it and 1 million contents posted/rewarded. So the time will come :)
