Bullying and modern technology

I'm sure most of us love how the advancement of modern technology has made our lives so much easier, whether it be laptops, PCs or cell phones, each year a new model comes out with more attractive features, and of course even Social Media, all these mediums of communication make it so we can be in touch with friends, family, and business 24/7.
Unfortunately, there is also a hidden side to this progress, which has grave consequences for its victims, many of us are unaware of this insidious practice, So what am I talking about you may ask? I'm talking about Online Bullying/Teen/Child Suicide.

We have always had bullying, especially school bullying, the difference from Then, to Now is that before Cell phones, PCs and laptops etc, it generally ended when School finished for the day, Nowadays bullying at school is 24/7 and can never end, if a child is being bullied at School, especially if it's by more than 1 student, can you imagine the effects of that???
Whenever the subject of School bullying comes up, it reminds me of a very sad case a number of years ago. A Family from Scotland decided they wanted a new life, so they moved to the US, they started to settle in, the 14-year daughter started dating a boy, they broke up a short while later, as soon as she broke up with the boy, this young 14-year old started to get picked on by 6 students, te ex boyfriend, his ex girlfriend, and their friends. They were relentless with the verbal and physical attacks at the School, followed by intense online bullying after school, It never stopped.
This young girl committed Suicide a short while later. found by her younger Sister. Friends, we all need to be aware of this, keep an eye on your kids, make sure their School has anti-bullying policies in place.
