266/365, More new fish at the aquarium in the shopping mall.

I had to buy some traditional Thai medicine at the local drug store in a shopping mall. I bought double of almost everything as the railway staff had asked me to get her some. Most Thai people don't really know that sometimes it is much better to take traditional Thai herbs and medicine. Of course, I also have to consult the pharmacists at the drug store. Like everything, moderation is the best policy and being a Buddhist I try to take the middle way, depending on wisdom and sound reasoning. I have been taking traditional Thai medicine for several years for cold, sore throat and stomachache, including rashes. Now I am experimenting with a very effective herbs for digestion and burning fat.

This shopping mall has a nice aquarium which always attracts small children and their parents. After a long renovation, they have installed more seating area and easy chairs for people to have a rest and perhaps to take a short nap. So, the old family members are often found at these seats waiting for their younger members on their shopping rounds. There are also special tables for people who bring their their laptops to work there and they could charge their batteries for free. But, the noise inside the shopping mall is always very loud, I wonder how people could concentrate on their work. Walking around, I found out that most people were either playing computer games or chatting on social media. However, these new facilities make the shopping mall more lively. I think that they are trying to create some kind of a village square to make people feel that they belong to this same village or shopping mall. They are creating a sense of ownership and belonging to a tribe or a common experience.

เราไปหาซื้อยาสมุนไพรไทยที่ร้านขายยาประจำที่ห้างสรรพสินค้า เราซื้อเบิ้ลเกือบทุกอย่าง คนขายค่อนข้างสงสัย เราก็บอกว่าพนักงานบนรถไฟฝากซื้อ คนไทยส่วนใหญ่ไม่รู้ว่ายาสมุนไพรไทยมีประโยชน์และใช้ได้ดีกว่า ยาที่ทำจากสารเคมีล้วนๆเพราะสารเคมีมีผลข้างเคียงมาก แต่เราก็ต้องคุยกับเภสัชกรสองคนที่ร้านขายยาด้วย เพื่อข้อมูลที่เที่ยงตรง เราคิดว่าการเดินสายกลางดีที่สุด การใช้สมุนไพรก็ต้องรู้จักการใช้ และข้อจำกัดด้วย เราใช้ยาไทยสำหรับ หวัด เจ็บคอ เป็นไข้ เป็นผื่นตามตัว แพ้แมลงกัด และเรื่องการย่อยอาหาร ตอนนี้กำลังทดลองยาสมุนไพรไทยที่ช่วยในการเผาผลาญไขมัน และจะให้คนลองกินสมุนไพรที่ช่วยลดนํ้าตาลในเลือดด้วย

เราชอบที่ห้างนี้เพราะมีสถานที่ให้นั่งเล่น และให้คนมานั่งแอบหลับได้ เขามีตู้ปลาที่น่าสนใจมากสำหรับเด็กและครอบครัว และมีเก้าอี้แบบแขวนเหมือนเปลหลายตัว เราเห็นผู้สูงอายุมานั่งอ่านหนังสือบ้าง มาแอบหลับบ้าง ปล่อยให้คนหนุ่มสาวไปซื้อของกันให้เรียบร้อยก่อนมารับกลับบ้าน และยังมีที่ให้คนเอาแล็ปท็อปมานั่งทำงานด้วย แถมมีที่ให้ชาร์ชแบตเตอรี่ฟรีด้วย แต่ที่ห้างมีเสียงดังมาก เราก็สงสัยว่าเขานั่งทำงานกันได้หรือ พอเดินไปดู ก็พบว่าเขาเล่นเกมส์ และแช็ทกัน ห้างนี้ดูเหมือนว่ากำลังพยายามสร้างบรรยากาศ ให้ราวกับว่ามีที่พบปะทำกิจกรรม ร่วมกันของคนในหมู่บ้าน และมีความผูกพันธ์ มีความเป็นเจ้าของ

267/365, Got to buy a fan, จำเป็นต้องซื้อพัดลม

Unfortunately, the air-conditioner in my office was out-of-order a few days ago. It took several days to get some technicians to have a look at it. The verdict was that it was too old and it's time to get a new one! But I think they would try to repair it, if they could find the spare parts. It's very hard to concentrate on my work. So, I needed to buy a fan to make life more enjoyable at work. This young staff at Robinson Store was very helpful and cheerful. He was very enthusiastic in giving the best possible service. I was very impressed by his character especially for a very young staff. Most young people nowadays don't survive very long in the service industry and they tend to have arguments with their customers. This chap was very careful in wrapping up the fan so that I could carry it easily. He put smiles on my face today!

โชคไม่ค่อยดี แอร์ที่ทำงานเสีย ไม่ยอมทำความเย็นมีแต่ลมธรรมดา กว่าจะตามช่างมาดูก็หลายวัน ช่างบอกว่ามันเก่ามาก สมควรเปลี่ยนใหม่ได้แล้ว แต่เขาคงจะลองซ่อมดูก่อนถ้าหาอาหลั่ยได้ เราเลยต้องหาทางผ่อนคลายความร้อน ด้วยการหาซื้อพัดลมมาใช้ก่อน เราโชคดีมากที่เจอพนักงานที่ให้บริการดีมาก ตอบคำถามทุกอย่างและยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส ปกติพนักงานรุ่นใหม่ไม่ค่อยดูแลลูกค้าเท่าไร เหมือนไม่มีความอดทน และชอบโต้เถียงกับลูกค้า แต่พนักงานคนนี้ดีมาก และช่วยห่อพัดลมและผูกเชือกให้เราถือไปง่ายๆ พนักงานคนนี้ทำให้เรายิ้มแย้มไปด้วย อยากให้มีคนแบบนี้มากๆ
