Last week, a few days before the Buddhist holy day on Saturday, the energy was very hectic and rather confusing. I wasn’t sure whether it was due to the solar flare which was supposed to hit the earth and possibly could cause some disruption to satellite communication. Whenever I feel off balance, I would gravitate towards sacred Buddhist images for positive energy and mindfulness. I also feel that I have not acquired a new Buddha statue for several years now. Perhaps it’s time to boost the overall energy and protection of my place.

So, one day last week I found myself drifted into my friend’ shop but he was still on holiday. The assistant knew me well so we had a nice chat about the oldest statue in the shop. The bronze White Tara is the oldest one which has been in this shop’s ownership for almost twenty years. This is actually an antique piece with amazing energy. White Tara is the symbol of compassion, achievement and good fortune. After seeing the price tag, I decided to have my lunch. This antique piece is beyond my reach.

The following day I had to go back around the shop for other errand. So I went there for tapping into extra energy for my hectic day. This time I asked in my mind whether there was a statue which was meant for me. To my surprise, my glance was drawn to the small statue on the top shelf. I asked to see the piece which turned out to be a small Medicine Buddha. I wonder why I never had a close look at this statue before.

This is a small but old piece of delicate art work. It is more difficult to make small statue than bigger ones. The energy was very good. The assistant could feel the flow of energy through me and asked if I was doing something with energy. I was surprised she was that sensitive, the hair on her arms all stood up. She felt a shiver as well. It’s nice to be confirmed by others that what I could feel was not my imagination. I am saving up for this small Medicine Buddha. It’s funny as I was asking her earlier whether the shop had any small Medicine Buddha coin.

The following day went by in a flash as I tried my best to stretch time. But my concentration was not very good, energy dissipation again! I need the Medicine Buddha sooner. So, I went to my shrine to seek out dear Ganesha. My cute gold plated Ganesha came to me many years ago. I had no idea what or who Ganesha was all about. But I had a dream about a funny and humorous half elephant half man long time ago. Then one day I wanted to get some incense from an Indian shop. There I saw the statues and images of the visitor in my dream. So, I got my first small Ganesha to keep me protected in my home. Ganesha has the magic to dissolve one’s obstacle and to bring success in one’s career.

So, during the storm of disruptive energy, I have my own solution which would help me weather the storms. Life can be very exhausting and depleting of life’s force, so I would need both protective and regenerative helpers.

Wishing you peace, good health and prosperity.

Cheers.

Did you buy the Medicine Buddha...so beautiful!

Not yet! It’s funny how PETE I’ve tried beauty of this Buddha. From a distance he didn’t look at all attractive. He has been in the shop without people noticing him fir over ten years! He’s calling to me that day.
I am waiting for the owner to come back. I will get a very good discount!

Good luck!

Thank you very much! This cheers me up from a previous rude encounter this morning!!

Cheers.

Your sensitivity to energy shows in your writing and feelings. I love this story and I want to find out more about Ganesha. My beliefs tend to be mixed from different cultures. They are all valid in some ways and we can get a lot from many different belief systems.

Thank you very much for a very encouraging comment. I used to go through a phase of purely scientific methods! But a period of spiritual experiments and meditation had shown me that mind is greater than matter which has now been confirmed by physics.
But I don’t follow group or organized brief systems . I always have to know or feel these things by myself.
Most people talk about things they can never feel or do! It takes lots of energy and right approach to be able to understand intangible things.

I agree. I think we have to have our own built in beliefs. That may tie to intuition and somehow just 'knowing' something. I've gotten quite far in life by just believing in what I wanted and what I felt without much to back it up. :)

The first photo is very beautiful Buddha statue.

You could feel the beauty in a very old Buddha statue!

I like the Buddha statue ;)

Thank you! You have very sharp eyes, that is very old and expensive!
