Sympathy for the Devil

If you had the money would you be the same as the 1% ?

Reading some comments on YouTube videos and knowing my feelings towards my opinion of the majority of the people on the planet, I think the Elite, 1%, Illuminati, whatever people call them aren't much different than anyone. I sometimes think that the planet needs to be culled of the masses of idiots that consume and don't think for themselves and are unable to see the bigger picture. From the comments on YouTube videos, and the responses there are many who think the same. The 1% think it and since they act on their thoughts sooner than the rest, they might just be speeding up the process, and getting richer whilst doing it.
I know I have done and continue to do stupid shit, in the eyes of others. So does anyone reading this. Maybe its those who don't care about what others think and remain steadfast who succeed. Did my moral compass inhibit me in some ways? Is it natural to have morals or is that conditioning?
I'm not sure I'd be any different than anyone else. If you're honest with yourself neither would you.
