Very nice tutorial..
great video man, can one update the video thumbnail? it is done by updating the hash, correct?
I just posted a video, check it out, its about a freestyle motocross event: https://steemit.com/costarica/@felipesuarez/4d5oaez4
Try updating your steemit post with the new thumbnail (first top photo) and see if that changes the dtube video. I doubt it but worth a try.
If you try @reseller's way, please report back :3 I'm curious.
The last few days have been error free for the most part. Interesting that you didn't mention compression (Handbrake). Since YouTube is my primary upload hosting site I render all my video's in 1080p 30fps or 60fps, which typically puts my video's in the 700mb to the 1.3gig range. I use Handbrake to compress them down. Yesterday I posted a 40min+ video to Dtube (compressed) with zero issues, amazing! Dtube is a lot more stable now and as someone who uploads fairly large video files, this is an awesome improvement. Side note. My snaps are typically 1080x608. On YouTube, I use 1920x1080, which will work on Dtube as well, but it's not necessary.
Thanks for the info, ive never heard of "Handbrake" but i'll take a look.
I'd like to post on Youtube and Dtube, but my internet is slooooow lol. I'd have to spend days waiting for just one upload to finish.
I'm unclear on the use of tags. You said the 1st tag is the category? But where do we see categories? Is there a list of categories we should use somewhere? Also, you said something about dtube being one of the default tags, but I don't understand that one. Do we need to add dtube to the end of the 1st tag we use? Since tags are such an important topic, I think you need to cover that better.
The first tag in your post is the category. You can't edit it after posting. You can edit the rest of the tags, though, and they're just tags.
Got it, thank you.
Click the top left "steemit beta" logo and it will bring you to categories. OR go here: https://steemit.com/tags . @dtube will default the #dtube tag in your tag list, you don't need to put that one in.
Cool, thanks!
