My cat is a great indicator of weather conditions, and like your ones, she loves to cuddle up, but usually against me when it is cold, but on hot days, she settles at the end of the bed, under the fan.
Yup, sounds about right, our cats do pretty much the same. ;-)
And, depending on the outside temps, we've had our share of three-kitty nights.
Our Bear boy looks a lot like your cat that got into the catnip . . . and it's definitely something he would do, too! ;-)
