Allodium Blockchain Report - Week #213 Ending Nov 8th 2021

A bit of landscaping has cleared up the front face of OG Found∆tion, the original Allodial Foundation (∆) of Allodium!

The sumac has been hedged, and old growth returned to the air by fire.

The new kitchen has been fully insulated and sealed off!
(minus some weather stripping needed around the doors)

This steel door got installed, along with a few insulation panels foamed in, closing the final gaps of the kitchen.

So far, all of the doors and windows in the castle have been recycled!
(Assuming the gate isn't counted as a door)

(By the way, these pics were snapped early am and the light isn't the greatest...)

This glass sliding door was installed in the Entry Hall with a spring hinge, so that it doesn't require a door knob.

The animals prefer the mini opening on the right with no door.

Visible through the door; the kitchen window, the drawbridge, and the future water feature can be seen.

This leaves one archway opening (plus 3 small openings) in the Entry Hall which need to be closed off before it too is sealed for the winter.

A new project was started in the last week!

The 3x solar panels on top of the original 1-room Earthship structure have been sitting on/leaning against tires (unmounted) since last year, when the greenhouse was rebuilt.

Also, some ice dams formed coming off of the greenhouse roof, resulting in some leaking in the Earthship last winter.

So, the plan here is to build a frame to mount the solar panels, while fixing the ice dam risk by using a sheet of epdm plastic, and then connecting/ transitioning it all to the front landing of the Entry Hall, so that water sheds to the drain under the windows...

The first steps were to remove all the tires, get the panels out of the way, do some mortar, level out the ground, cut the epdm, lay it out, and then build the wooden frame over it.

The end of the drain pipe can be seen going into the top bay of the Entry Hall, through that little opening I've been crawling through to get up there.

That's all the work there is to proof/report on in this Block.

In Block #213, ending 11/8/2021, a total of 2401@ (Appreciation Tokens) were generated; 371@ were generated by the daily appreciation of 53 members, 140@ were generated by 14 hours of labor exhausted for the Cooperative, and 1890@ were generated by 189 OG Creds (Ø); bringing the total to 347,409@.
