My other lover...

I had seen her before, but didn't realize how drawn I was, until yesterday. As I drove I caught glimpses of her out of the corner of my eye. She was beautiful, and calling me. She was difficult to get to, but as I parked and climbed down the cliffs where she was, I knew she would be worth it. Through her taunting, I stumbled down the cliffs further and further in my flip flops, not being prepared for both the spontaneous visit, or her beauty. When I finally reached her I reveled in her smell and her sounds, as she playfully laughed and said to me "what took you so long, silly?".

We played together for as long as I could stay, not being able to pull myself away, falling more and more in love each minute that went by. I could have stayed there for hours but the sun was bearing down and I knew my time was limited.

I wanted to bring her back to my guy in some small way, so I found tiny treasures from her shore to show him. Just then she laughed at me and said, "Here! Give him something much bigger!" and completely doused me in her wetness. I was beautifully soaked, and smelled like her.

My beloved ocean, I love you so much.
