Hello dear Steemian friends! Welcome to the 23rd episode of:
#OneBreathOnePhoto
As some of you may know, two of the things that I'm deeply passionate about besides travelling, is Freediving and Photography. Freediving is a practice of diving underwater without a tank or any other breathing apparatus, gliding through the watery abyss on a single breath of air with nothing but you and nature.
Whales are mammals, just like us, they have lungs to breathe, a heart to pump blood, and a brain that puts it all together. The difference is, a whale can hold their breath a lot longer, dive a lot deeper, and have brains that are hundreds of times bigger than ours. Let's not forget that we share this planet with other living creatures who are just like us, who need the same clean air and water just as much as we do, and love their children just as much as we do. This image captures the moment of a baby humpback whale coming up towards the surface for air while the mum watches quietly from below.
