A FRAME (A Bilingual Poem)
A FRAME
Stunned in front of a frame
pictured an old photo:
a face
bright
and a smile
happy, maybe proud.
Behind it:
A name of a place and the year of record:
Tawangmangu, 1994.
Time flies
Kala* runs as fast as lightning.
Now, ten seasons have passed.
There are no photos, the frames are hanging
emptyly.
Only a web and small spiders.
But maybe that's better.
Because he can calmed down
and all pass
and no one's staring.
No words, no questions:
"Who?"
"When, where?"
"You?"
Yes that's better.
Because now he calmed down
and no need to answer:
"No, that’s not me."

PIGURA
Termangu di depan sebuah pigura
terbayang foto lama:
sebuah wajah
cerah
dan segaris senyuman
bahagia, mungkin bangga.
Di belakang,
tempat dan tahun tercatat:
Tawangmangu, 1994.
Waktu melesat
Kala berjalan secepat kilat.
Kini, dua daur telah lewat.
Tak ada foto, pigura itu menggantung
kosong.
Cuma sawang dan laba-laba kecil.
Namun mungkin itu lebih baik.
Sebab ia jadi tenang
dan semua lewat
tak ada yang menatap.
Tak ada kata, tak ada tanya:
“Siapa?”
“Kapan?”, “Di mana?”
“Kamu?”
Ya, itu lebih baik.
Sebab ia jadi tenang
tak perlu menjawab:
“Bukan, itu bukan aku.”
