RE: Ride Your Bike

We also love bicycling, though our dwelling is a little too far to communte for work, groceries and such. About 15 years ago Matt decided to ride his bike home from Montana to Alberta after visiting some relatives. He made it 3/4 of the way in about 4 days and had to call for a ride when his bike was beyond repair. I picked up road cycling about 7 years ago when I decided to try my hand at a few sprint triathlons. And two years ago, we visited Fernie and Montana for our honeymoon and did plenty of mountain biking along the way. You're right, you see scenery you wouldn't have otherwise noticed, you smell the fresh air, and feel a closeness with the earth. Cycling for the win!

Love it! Oh, the adventures when bikes break... had a few ourselves. I wish more of this country was bike accessible, we too don't have much chance to commute. Still enjoy trail rides.

Yes! We have seen several places where bike lanes were added after the fact and aren't very safe. They also end in thebmiddle of nowhere making commuting within the city veru difficult. I tried finding a route to a past place of empmoyment and simpky couldn't make it there safely. -Aimee
