Illustration: Skeeter
This illustration is a shoutout to the mosquito that bit me on my face last night. We’re in the dead of winter and mosquitos are out?!?!
I haven’t seen a mosquito design where it’s legs branch off of the body this way, and I really like the way it looks. It has a unique bend in the leg and I think it breaks up the silhouette nicely.
I tried to keep this blood-sucker less menacing, but with a belly full of blood it was hard to make him not look suspicious.
Thanks for peepin this post, steemers. I appreciate it!
Hi @Tysonjames. I see you had some concerns about my previous comment, so I removed it. My intention was to spark a conversation about backpacking, by promoting a competition. In regards to your illustration, I think it looks funny, because the mosquito has “guilty eyes”. The mosquito looks like he’s trying to apologize for what he’s done. The hands pressed together, shows that he’s begging for his life. What kind of software do you use, when you're making illustrations?
Hi @remotediscovery, I flagged your comment because I thought it was an automated post — there wasn’t any context given. I’m all for a conversation about backpacking but it needs to be approached in a different way. There are just too many spammers and bots on this platform that any comments that aren’t related to the post immediately appear to be self promotion.
Thanks for the clarification and I hope you can see the thought process behind my actions. I unflagged it.
Amazing drawing& art .
. I think you are good at in art
. Thanks for sharing...
Love it! Such a great mischievous character ;)
I don't like these guys at all... but his eyes and his little arms almost make me feel sorry for him. The legs are a great design element.
mosquitoes are very cute. but he is very dangerous and carries illness
I really appreciate your style. Would leave to see your take on something more ghostly/shadowy or demonic.
This is the most adorable mosquito I've ever seen! It is amazing how an artist can make something so mundane and unattractive look so cute and interesting :)
Wow! I also love how you approached drawing the legs! It looks pretty cool!
