Hey steemers, here's a character that I'm quiet fond of calld "Iris."
It started out with the idea of creating a character who's whole head is one giant eyeball. From there I attached some horns, teeth and a scaly widows peak to a bean bag type body.
From that point I started playing around with character-oriented sketches to see what kind of poses I could get out of this character.
Overall I'm pretty happy with this little demon. On my list of "characters I'd like to turn into puppets," he's right up at the top...just need a story to put him in. ;)

Sufficiently creepy! One of your Wild Youth creatures had an eyeball head with wings. That was cool too!
Oh yeah that was the first time I used that design! Good catch. Yeah I'm trying to do more with that eyeball-head design.

I always love the doodles along with the final sketch, your work reminds me a bit to Edward Gorey in Style, he inspired Tim Burton :). It looks lris can see it all :) I would be nice to see a cartoon short with your creatures.
