Milk Flavored Shortbread Cookies with M & M's
Hello!
This following recipe is a pretty basic recipe for all sorts of shortbread cookies. They are simple to make and pretty delicious. You can flavor it as you wish and/or add any additions such as chocolate morsels, dried fruits, and/or nuts. They are good as is as well, just like regular shortbread cookies would.
I found this milk flavoring paste one time, and added it to the mixture along with M & M's and the cookies were a hit among the kids and adults :D
If you cannot find the paste, the oil is also available, if not, you can substitute it with your favorite flavoring instead.
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)
- 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of milk paste flavoring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- Mini M & M's as much as you like
Method
- Using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar to combine. Beat into a cream and add in flavorings.
- Beat in flour a little at a time, then fold in M & M's
- Scoop cookie dough and shape into balls
- Flatten balls with fork
- Preheat oven to 350 F and bake cookies for 9 minutes
- Cool cookies on cookie rack before storing away.
Once I am back fully, I will resume my daily theme, so that it would be easier for you to find them :D Thank you!
