Dutch scientists have shown that exercise is less effective in weight loss than dieting.
Scientists at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands concluded that the consumption of foods with low fat content and small amounts of calories prevented the aging of the central nervous system.
Experiments that used typical organisms such as rodents have shown that aging and obesity are accompanied by chronic infections in certain areas of the brain, including the hypothalamus, the corpus callosum, and the cerebral cavity. Microbial neurons play a key role in the destruction and ingestion of immune cells.
The scientists subjected the test mice to two dietary fortresses, one based on a high-fat diet and the other containing a low proportion of them.
The most effective way to reduce the activity of microbial cells in the brain (associated with aging and obesity) is to follow a diet low in fat and calories.
