How to Become an Oath Juror in Just a Few Clicks!
We have recently announced our juror recruitment and referral program, giving you the opportunity to be one of the first to test the Oath Protocol platform once our public beta is live and benefit from spreading the word about community governance & conflict resolution.
In this post, we want to give you step-by-step instructions for getting started right now.
The sign-up process is divided into two parts:
(1) initial sign-up and e-mail verification and
(2) identity verification.
Sign-up and E-mail Verification
- Set up your account here by entering your e-mail address, choosing a password , and entering your referral code, if you have one. If not, just leave it blank.
Click Next.
- Enter your name, gender, year and month of birth, and country/region.
Click Finish.
- Check your inbox — you’ve got mail! If you don’t see an e-mail from us, please check your spam folder. If you still don’t see it, please reach out to us at [email protected], and we will help you out!
In the e-mail, you will receive a confirmation link that will take you to your account and identity verification page.
You will also receive an individual referral code that allows you to earn rewards for recruiting new jurors. All new jurors will receive a 200 OATH token welcome bonus, and you will get rewarded an additional 200 OATH thank you bonus for each juror who signs up using your referral code!
- Click the blue button to “Verify Your E-Mail Address” or the link below, which will take you to your account and identity verification page.
Identity Verification
Click the blue button to “Start your Identity Verification.”
Please note that you are not required to verify your identity at this time, but you will need to do so to participate as a juror on our platform and to withdraw your token rewards.
Confirm that your personal information is accurate and matches your government-issued ID.
Click Next.
- To verify your identity, we will need to match the information you provided to your photo ID. To allow us to do so, please select the type of ID you will provide, which may be your local ID, passport, or driver’s license, and enter the ID number in the corresponding fields.
Please note that if you choose to upload a copy of your local ID, you will be required to provide photos of both the front and back of the ID. If you choose passport or driver’s license, you will only need to provide a photo of the page with your picture on it.
- Upload a clear copy or photo of your ID. The image must be in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format and cannot exceed 1MB.
- Upload a photo of yourself holding a sheet of paper with the words “Oath” and today’s date written on it.
- Click Submit.
Once you see the screen below, you have completed identity verification and your application is under review.
- Check your Inbox frequently. We will notify you within 48 hours to let you know whether your application has been approved.
