Penguin & Panda - Private Investigators
I have a boring day job looking at spreadsheets and data. It is mind numbing. I do get to listen to music all day (yay) but my mind tends to wander. A lot.
Recently, (for reasons unknown) it wandered into the colour similarities of penguins and pandas and then continuing that monochromatic path, found itself thinking of Noir films and pulp and then uh, explosion! My brain put the two together and has since been thinking of scenarios for the two detectives as it wrestles with the design process.
The penguin is the more serious of the two. He is ex-military. Special Forces type. Following proper procedures, being prepared for all contingencies etc.
The panda is the opposite - lazy, unkempt. He prefers sleeping, drinking and eating (mostly in that order) over actually working. Though somehow he manages to be the more successful of the pair, both in gathering evidence and solving cases. (Penguin finds this annoying).
Anyway, here's a rough sketch I threw onto paper so I could settle back into the day's work before anyone noticed. :D
