"Little Sophie is curled up on the couch admiring the huge sky. The sun's rays subtly illuminate her face and the rest of the room."

This is my entry for the ART of LIGHT contest, offered by @nTOPAZ. I have used the photograph of this little girl as an inspiration for my design, although I have adapted the background of the scene to my liking. I felt that it represented much better the idea of ​​enlightenment.

I had a lot of fun creating this design, I feel it has been wonderful. ♥ I am very happy with how my technique in digital drawing has progressed, every time I manage to give many more details and realism to what I do. I have been able to materialize my ideas and it is something that fills me a lot.

For the creation of the design I used as usual the Mediabang Paint program in its Android version. I will tell you a little about the process of how I created my design. Join me to discover it!

Step by Step

1.- The first thing was to upload the image to Medibang. I outlined the contours with the black pencil tool with a low opacity on a transparent background.

2.- I have painted each section separately, starting by giving color to the face, arm and leg.

3.- Then I made the hair, for which I used the dry flat brush. First I made the base, then I added details in a darker color. Finally some lights and shadows.

4.- The girl's dress was a challenge because she had not done these moving fabric details before. It was what took me a little more time to achieve. To start, I made the base in pink, gradually adding shadows and lines to give it the movement and then adding lights to give it greater depth.

5.- Finally I have made the armchair, the walls, the floor of the room, the window and the curtain. I added a shadow over all the details to give that room a dark look, and finally I added the glow to the sky, a little about the girl and some sun rays. Voila!

¡Hola chicos! ♥

"La pequeña Sophie está acurrucada en el sillón admirando el inmenso cielo. Los rayos de sol iluminan sutilmente su rostro y el resto de la habitación."

Esta es mi entrada para el concurso ART of LIGHT, ofrecido por @nTOPAZ. He utilizado la fotografía de esta pequeña niña como inspiración para mi diseño, aunque he adaptado el fondo de la escena a mi gusto. Sentía que representaba mucho mejor la idea de la iluminación.

Me he divertido mucho creando este diseño, siento que ha quedado maravilloso. ♥ Estoy muy contenta por como ha progresado mi técnica en el dibujo digital, cada vez logro darle muchos más detalles y realismo a lo que hago. He podido materializar mis ideas y es algo que me llena mucho.

Para la creación del diseño he utilizado como de costumbre el programa Mediabang Paint en su versión para Android. Les contaré un poco el proceso de cómo he creado mi diseño. ¡Acompáñame a descubrirlo!

Paso a paso

1.- Lo primero fue cargar la imagen a Medibang. Tracé los contornos con la herramienta lápiz en color negro con una baja opacidad sobre un fondo transparente.

2.- He pintado cada sección por separado, comenzando por darle color al rostro, el brazo y la pierna.

3.- Luego hice el cabello, para lo cual utilicé el pincel plano seco. Primero hice la base, después agregué detalles en un color más oscuro. Por último algunas luces y sombras.

4.- El vestido de la niña fue todo un reto pues no había hecho estos detalles de tela en movimiento antes. Fue lo que me llevo un poco más de tiempo de lograr. Para comenzar hice la base en rosa, de a poco fue agregando sombras y líneas para darle el movimiento y luego agregué luces para darle mayor profundidad.

5.- Para finalizar he hecho el sillón, las paredes, el suelo de la habitación, la ventana y la cortina. Agregué una sombra sobre todos los detalles para darle ese aspecto de oscuridad a la habitación, y por último agregué el brillo al cielo, un poco sobre la niña y algunos rayos de sol. ¡Listo!
