Basically these two laws make websites responsible for illegal activity that goes through their sites.
They also supposedly target Human Trafficking . But backpage was out there helping any child or trafficking victim.
Backpage was given warnings, and the domain was seized.
Craigslist removed the dating section in USA. but it continues through the rest of the world.
Craigslist still hosts ads for thousands, maybe millions of scams though.
The Sex Workers, and their clients have been looking around for the best alternative as many sites have also stopped supporting USA.
Sex Workers come in many types. Some do illegal things. Some only do legal things. The ones that do legal things are getting hit financially by all this censorship. Some stuff is legal in a round about way, and should be legal directly. There was a war on drugs, now its everywhere, now we have a war on sex, guess what, it's always been everywhere, and it always will be.

I've been trying to get some of the clients and providers to start using more secure payments and communication. People don't take preventative action. Dump Windows/Mac for Linux for better privacy, and use separate user accounts on the machine, for better separation of personal stuff, and adult stuff. might not be easy for the cam/gamers but everything else should be good.

These workers are at risk, and provide a valuable service. Some will be screening more, asking for ID, and proof of work place. I would never give that info out, but some guys do. I think reputation is much more important, and everyone should understand that a person may have a separate user name for adult things vs everything else. Many will want a vouch from some other worker, at this point i can probably get a vouch if i need it.
Some of the traveling workers want a deposit, and they will make sure they have enough appointments before they head out. if they dont get enough, they will refund. I don't want to see people doing things that puts them at risk of getting scammed. I think crypto is best, and escrow should be used, or a multisig wallet. The pros should know, if they don't put a customer in a position to get scammed, they will be in a habit of not getting themselves in a position to get scammed, and have more money for the good ones in the future.
