NOW PLAYING WEEK 25: GYM CLASS HEROES – COOKIE JAR
Hello fellow music lovers and here we go again with another great week of #nowplaying. For this week 25, I am going to share with you all a great song that I am sure that most of you music lovers out there heard it before and the song called Cookie Jar sang by a band called Gym Class Heroes featuring The Dream.
Gym Class Heroes is an American alternative hip-hop hailing all the way from Geneva, New York and was formed back in 1997. The band current members are Travie McCoy, their vocalist who also the founder of the band, Matt McGinley the drummer and also the founder of the band as well, Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo, their guitarist and back up vocalist and last but not least, their bassists, Eric Roberts.
Their song Cookie Jar was taken from their album called The Quilt and was released as their second single in July, 2008. It was a song that I usually listen to and the lyrics are so catchy that it makes you want to sing along with the song. Classic. I was just reminiscing on Myspace days yesterday and Gym Class Heroes is one of the main bands I remember discovering through it. I really wish we saw more music from both them and The Dream as they both are super talented!
