First Impressions: nVidia Geforce Now

So lately I haven't been able to fully scratch my gaming itch: I burnt out the graphics card in my PC and my Xbox has died on me.

But along came Now. There are other streaming game services out there (eg: Stadia), and I know that they generally don't review all that well, but I liked that this service allowed you to play games you already own without having to purchase them again on their platform, a huge plus.

The fact that their Founder's Edition comes with a generous free trial is a big plus.

But does it work? Short answer: Yes.

Your experience will vary based on your connection to their nearest data center, but on a modest internet connection like the one I have right now (25/10 Mbps cable), it actually does work somewhat well if I don't have anything else stressing the connection.

I find that the games that perform the best are the ones with more cartoony graphics, more photorealistic and high res games suffer more from motion blur if the connection slows momentarily. I've been trying out quite a few, but the games I've been playing that work best so far are Dauntless, Smite, No Man's Sky, Paladins, or Realm Royale, but if you have a steady connection with a good enough bandwidth, you could play any of the huge numbers of compatible games.

I'm curious to try streaming on Mixer with it to see how the two services work simultaneously on my connection.
