Venezuela begins 2018 in hyperinflation and in the midst of concern over the effects of the new wage increase announced on Sunday by President Nicolas Maduro, which is not celebrated more than in official circles and will further increase inflation according to Economists.

"Maduro simply continues his policy of continuing to attempt to extinguish a hyperinflationary fire, which he has generated in Venezuel.

In his year-end speech, Maduro announced this Sunday an increase in the minimum wage and salaries of the employees of 40%, which added to the increase in the dietary bond is a rise in the minimum income of Venezuelans of more than 74%.

This increase leaves the minimum income of Venezuelans at 238 dollars, if the conversion is made to the reference rate fixed by the state, but in little more than 7 dollars if the parallel change is taken into account
