A warning from a woman to the Miami Police on Monday afternoon, in which she reported a hostage situation, set in motion the entire Swat special force available, who arrived at the restaurant in the area of ​​Little Havana where It would be presenting the situation.

After closing three nearby schools in a preventive manner and enlisting the entire operation, when the entire Swat team suddenly entered the place, they found that not only was there no kidnapper, weapons or hostages, but no one was held against their will.

After asking those present and calling to question the woman, it was established that everything had been a misinterpretation.

Local media reported that a person called the police to report that they had stolen his cell phone in public, outside the restaurant. When the officers arrived, the woman with whom he started the whole story left the restaurant and told them that there were about 12 people inside.

After checking that everything was in order, the calm returned to the sector.
