N O S T A L G I A - Thoughts?

So I got this in the mail today:

It got me thinking about nostalgia (like I often do) and how our childhood memories shape and effect us...

I personally love that nostalgic feeling, the blend of warmth & happiness VS heartache & sadness. Nostalgia is definitely a big inspiration to me as an artist:

So I'm now 25 and I'm sure many of you can relate to the feeling of reminiscing on my childhood days with such fondness, hence why I bought the car stickers (first picture) haha! It's like a lost time full of dreams, bursting with opportunity and wonder. We can only get a glimpse of it now when we watch an old cartoon, play a certain video game or something similar that sparks our memory. I'm curious to know how nostalgia effects others, I choose to embrace it regularly and find it really enjoyable (sometimes it can be overwhelming)!

Personally I think it's worth holding onto these things because we identified with them for a reason, then they guided us into who we are today, I know I learned so much from anime, cartoons, movies etc. They taught me things that I wouldn't have learned or thought about in daily life. I could go on forever but I'll just leave you with some of my nostalgic memories throughout my childhood, let me know if you relate and post your own!
