Purpurlyng. Bell heather.

in #norway7 years ago (edited)

Bell heather (Erica cinerea) belongs to the heather family. There is a lot of it on slopes facing south, and it lights up in the landscape with its beautiful purple colour. Bell heather does not tolerate hard cold and therefore grows in a narrow area along the coast from Jæren and up to Sunnmøre. Bell heather must have mild winters and a damp climate something it gets in Western Norway. Bell heather has soft nectar cream is a raw material for excellent heather honey.

Thanks for your friendly comments about my pictures of Bell heather @Singa

It's better to hang out with people better than you. Pick out associates whose behavior is better than yours and you'll drift in that direction.

Macrophotography is so dazzling, purple flowers are so pretty,@siggjo
