Random Oslo day
I cannot get enough of these amazing days back in Norway! So this day my girlfriend and I were heading out to explore more of Oslo - a city that I'm more fond of now than I was when I was living in Norway.
When you've been living away for as long as I have (9 years, 7 in Australia and 2 in China) you start seeing things that you didn't notice before or with "fresher eyes" and it really excited me to be back.
First up was "Vippa" or Vippetangen, inside this old warehouse, they've set up a bunch of random food "trucks" and a bar which has this really cool industrial feel.
Not just in Beijing you can enjoy duck!
After a few beers, we got going to show my girlfriend the royal palace and the parliament. Outside of the parliament, these guys were celebrating, singing and dancing to some Iraqi tunes. I'm still not sure what they celebrated; my best guess is a late celebration of Iraq's Republic day.
We walked a few metres aways from this spectacle, turned around and BOOM there you have a sweet view of the royal palace and Karl Johans gate.

Nice. I have actually missed the opening of Vippa. Good reminder. Think I will check the place out tomorrow!
