STUCK IN DUBAI FOR 24H - THE MILLION CITY THAT RISE FROM THE DESSERT IN DECADES

Som weeks ago me and two friends went on a short trip to Thailand. It was a plessant stay, but not as much sun as we would like. lots of nice and spicy food. The thai people can cook

we had a long flight back home to Oslo, Norway. about 25h. first stop was Kuala lumper. when we landed we was informed that our flight was delayed some houres. and ended up spending 10h on the airport. we wasnt allowed to go out of the airport. Unlucky, or lucky for us, our flight from dubai was delayed 24h. not the worst place to be stuck.

We arrived at the airport in dubai, and we got each a own room and food for free. I think I understood at that time, why The Emerates is the best airline in the world. Then we desided to go out in the city.

From my experience of a night i Dubai, its a beautifull city, but its a bit scary as well, we cudnt find any alkohol there, unless at the airport, and the hotell. We have all heard the scary storyes of dubai, havnt we?

From the waking pathway from the tram station to the mall of dubai, and then to Burj Khalifa. a long distance to walk. we ended up spending two houres finding the way out of the mall, and i think we only saw about 15 prosent of the mall.
Everything is super big in dubai.

From the fountain of dubai. we watched the show. it was something spetaculare. Before the show the Burj Khalifa lited up like the biggest candle i have ever seen, in lots of coloures. Dubai hasnt been short on the monay her. Wow.

Then we hedded for the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa 829m tall. i was kind of exited. i have wanted to go in this building for years. when we arived there there was a big line, and i didnt think at that point, we would get inside. Lucky for us we got the last tickets. Expensive, but i dont regret it. it was a memory for life.

We was taken thru an metal detecter, and then into an elevator up to the 125th floor. The elevator went 10m a second, and i could feel the dots in the air. After about a minute we where on the floor. From there into another elevator up to 148th floor. we took the step out of the elevator, and we got some refreshments. My legs was chaking, and i could feel the building move a bit back and forth. I took the steps to the outside, and to the glasswall 555,6 meter over ground, and loooked down. it looked unreal, allmost fake. at first my mind couldnt belive it. i sat down by the glass wall and still looked down

After this we went back to the mall, spent some time there, ate something, and went back to the hotel. at this point my phone had died a long time ago. went strait to bed and fell asleep in secounds.

I woke up some houres later with my powerbank conected to my phone, but hadnt manage to turn the powerbank on. i panicked, i belived I had missed the plane, but i hadnt. Got to the airport, on to the plane, and landed in a big snowstorm in Oslo. Some way the pilotes manage to land the plane. So in total the trip back took about 50 houres
