I really like this old beech in the Palace Park. It has a magnificent presence and remains me of an Ent.
Underneath there are loads of children playing and using the oldest branches as a swing.
Many have carved their love messages into the bark. Where are those couples today, still in love or Six Feet Under?
It looks cosy, may I should move in and save some property tax?

what a wonderfull tree is that! I can enjoy looking at such trees. It gives me a relaxed feeling seeing this beauty of nature. AND I love ents! that was a very good thing in LOTR :)
Love this tree! Great photos.
take a look at my blog - you'll see three months ago I also posted an old beech photo! What is it about beeches that makes people want to carve their initials??
Nice old beech there and a perfect shot! I am not sure, perhaps it is easy to carve into a beech's bark. Cannot remember to have carved anything into trees really... I guess it hurt them:)

@janusface,
I really like the way you think about that tree. And photography, yeah that's great! According to you, this is not only a tree, it is a living statue of loved ones, ages of children and contains a lot of memories as well. Yeah that's true and I really like the way you think.
Thank you very much for sharing such great post!
Cheers~
