Distinct Gender Roles As A Recipe For A Successful Society?
Hello, Steemit friends!
I recently wrote a post for the Norwegian independent news site, Resett.no, about gender roles, social stability and the effect on immigration.
Firstly, I could not disagree more to the notion in our postmodern society that gender roles supposedly do not matter at all and are only social constructs.
As expected the post evoked strong feelings, where one side got my points (and applauded it), whereas the other side took things personally or revealed loads of logical fallacies or cognitive biases in their arguments against it.
I must admit that gender roles, attraction and effect on immigration are very complex issues, and it is a daunting task to try to cover these issue in such a short post, but it think this post at least covers the basics.

Distinct Gender Roles As A Recipe For A Successful Society?
Norway is today a so-called equal society, and women have more influence both socially and economically than in any other time in history. Initially, it sounds very good, but how sensible is it really to build a society based on an illusion that there are no real gender differences? Can society ever become "equal", or is it an abstraction that misleads more than it supervises?
There are very good reasons to be skeptical to the fact that we today have a society that is not based on a clear idea that there are specific gender differences.
Even though we have reached a very high civilization level, the world is still mostly a struggle for women, where men’s role is to protect the group, while women have less in-group loyalty and are attracted to the socially strongest group.
Sociobiologically, women as a group will therefore be for immigration, while men will be strong against immigration that threatens the in-group.
Increased focus on "gender equality" and the decline of gender roles in society, could lead to men becoming more feminine. The more feminine men become, the more women will despise men at an intuitive level, and the in-group loyalty will further deteriorate so that uncontrolled influences from women can destroy civilizations, by opening up for uncontrolled immigration from incompatible cultures as we see today.
Sweden is a good example of a place where this process has gone so far that it may not be reversible.
In addition, there is significant cognitive dissonance, where one is for immigration, while one does not like the consequences of it (increased number of sexual assaults against girls as an example). The result can quickly become an authoritarian regime (dictatorship).
Female hypergamy (attraction to a partner of higher socioeconomic status) is a very strong driving force in society, and it is therefore worrying that there will be so many female doctors and lawyers, that are traditional high-status jobs for men, in society.
The professions will be feminized and less attractive to men, while women will have trouble finding men with higher socioeconomic status than themselves, and may end up without partners or with a partner they are not really attracted to.
Since women have all sexual power in society, might it have been sensible with some power distribution, so that men have most of the executive power?
Women as a group vote for the left-wing and after women had the right to vote, the welfare state became a current model in several countries. Again, women seek intuitively a provider, so that the welfare state in many ways has replaced man's role in society.
It is also problematic that an increasing proportion of men remain involuntarily childless, while they are still obliged to pay high taxes and contribute to the welfare state, which both punishes them economically and socially.
The only reasonable thing is to reduce taxes dramatically. If you want children, you'll have to cover the costs yourself or find a partner. Then the mutual dependency between the sexes will be strengthened, and children will get good role models of both sexes.
Anyway, everyone intuitively understands that women want strong masculine men, such that men want women with clear feminine features, both physical and behavioural.
To cultivate clear gender differences will benefit both sexes and make sure our civilization continue its growth.
Perhaps, especially young men should become more aware of their role in society, which, in my opinion, have largely not been heard, and it is now time they get up and show that they can fight for the society they want.
In addition, women get the men they crave: win win in other words!
interesting subject. But alot is changing in the world he, also this. We need more female-energy in our world :) for the balance :)
Agreed: I love female energy! I think much of the frustration from modern career women is that they are not able to utilise they female energy more. As @trumpman pointed out career women are more unhappy than ever, and they replace men which is almost helpless when unable to use their only super force, that of a protector and provider. Focus on distinct gender roles create more male and female polarity (more masculine and female energy), increase attraction between the sexes and happiness. Thus, win-win!
The current societies are very matriarchal unlike the past societies, the welfare state is a way of overprotecting the citizens as a mother to her child, being in both cases harmful.
That is why today we are so terrified of war, obviously war is the last option, but it is an option, especially when a very big threat arises.
We can see the contrast between Prussia, the militarist state by default of the middle ages, and the current Germany, which provides subsidies to immigrants.
In my opinion, all these egalitarian currents are a form of socialism and are anti-natural, because it starts from a false premise that we are all equal.
Yes, I agree there is some form of socialism involved. And the bigger the state gets, the less women are dependent on men, and the less power men get. Viscous circle indeed.
Of course, the state generates a hierarchy pattern that repeats itself to the smallest scales, if we place a member of a minority in the highest position of power, then that minority will grow abruptly and take much more force in society, also taking a leadership role in society.
Exactly. That is the biggest danger, and could very well be the driving force behind the SJWs and mocking of the traditional high status white man. We could very well end up with a situation similar to that described in 1984, where no moral or intellectual standard are required as long as you are for the regime (the Party).
Yes, but just as today this can be a serious danger, tomorrow can be a great advantage, because it means that a single man placed in the right position can make a big change.
You can see how in America, since the arrival to power of Trump, border immigration has been reduced, even a couple of months ago when he still had not taken action, that's because his presence in the White House brings a series of impacts on society.
When Obama was the president, it happened almost exactly the same but in the opposite direction. I do not want to imagine what would happen with Hillary in power.
Clever contrarian thinking:)
Ding! Ding! Ding!
We've got a winner!
what???
You have correctly pointed out correctly that socialism tries to ignore what is natural and human nature. It is why socialism always fails.
Oh, and that people wrongly believe men and women are the same. You can only do that by suppressing the innate desires that make women vote for welfare and men like competition. When you do that, you end up with wussified men and unsatisfied women.
If you have the heart to look at a man and then look at a woman and say you see no difference between the two... Then there is no hope for you, you are completely lost and twisted in your thinking. You live in your own make believe mental bubble. There is no reasoning with you and you have chosen to ignore objective reality completely.
Excellent post @janusface.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Terrifyingly, there is loads of people as you describe, and many of them are our leaders. Thus, we are in big trouble if we do not act now.
Come on everybody knows genders are just a social construct and studies like this one https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2583786/ are obviously made by misogynistic white supremacists!
"We compared the interactions of 34 rhesus monkeys, living within a 135 monkey troop, with human wheeled toys and plush toys. Male monkeys, like boys, showed consistent and strong preferences for wheeled toys, while female monkeys, like girls, showed greater variability in preferences."
Serious Mode On: It's interesting how women despite getting more rights, more sexual freedom, more access to academia (remember, in many countries more women are in academia than men), how divorcing their man is so much easier with no repercussions and usually results in them getting both a good chunk of money (some will say his money but I won't debate this here) and full children custody, being paid better than them in the age groups 20-30, blah blah blah and despite all that for some reason all studies show that women become more and more unhappy as years pass. Obviously, our western societies are doing something wrong.
Nice. Spot on:)!
Totally agree with you, the differences between a man and a woman are socially erased in many countries, but I'm a man of old views and I think that a woman should always remain a woman, we men should always be a man in every sense! Thank you @janusface
There's a transhumanism agenda that aims to remove the woman from the birthing process and merge the two genders until the majority of people are seen as androgynous. The signs are all around us. Gender equality, public restroom merge, transsexual acceptance. The media, medical controllers, educators, and other branches of government are working to program your mind to enslave humanity. People need to wake up!
Distinct gender role never and ever can not play success role for any nation as well as country. Male and female are equal. All have right to do anything. The first things is we all are human. You can see the history every successfully country has maintained equality. @janusface
with everyone support and understanding everything is possible !!!
@janusface - Sir as a woman I'm little disagree with what you said... But my husband also think as you do Sir... But Sometimes we have to act strong & think strong... It depends on the situation we live or we face... Otherwise, I can agree with most of your points Sir....
To get more audience, I wish to ReSteem your post.
