The Top 5 Supplements to Boost Energy!
In today’s world, there is so much to do and so little time to do it. There are a number of things that people attempt to do to boost their energy due to their varying requirements, and many turn to coffee or energy drinks or worse yet illegal drugs. This brief article will build upon my several years of personal interest in the subject and provide you with alternatives that both energize you while at the same time are good for your body and do no harm on the side.
There are three main types of supplements available to you: standard supplements, herbal supplements, and nootropics. Standard supplements are things like Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and Caffeine Pills. Herbal supplements are things like Hot Water Extracted Mushrooms (you will learn more soon...), Ginseng, and Kale Juice. Nootropics are chemicals that are considered safe for human consumption but serve no conventional purpose beyond supplementation.
== Number 1 ==
Caffeine pills, 200mg, capsule (not tablet) form. Caffeine is hands down at the top of this list, and it boosts energy by blocking receptors in your brain that say you are sleepy. While it will make you practically physically dependent on it, caffeine pills are by far the best. Remember to consume water and eat choline containing foods such as egg yolks, tuna, or milk. These foods will supply necessary nutrients to prevent headaches.
== Number 2 ==
Nicotine patches, 7mg. If you have never used nicotine before, please do not use this. It is considered more addictive than most opiates and is very toxic. If, however, you smoke or vape, nicotine is a perfect complement to Caffeine as it stimulates practically every part of your body for (important) mundane tasks such as sitting at a desk all day or greeting people at at a doorway such as a security guard. It also speeds up your metabolism of caffeine which helps you sleep well during the night. I again repeat my warning though, if you have never used it, please do not start because of me.
== Number 3 ==
Hot Water or Hot Ethanol (alcohol) Extracted Cordyceps, 1 gram daily with water and on an empty stomach. Cordyceps are a mushroom and thus have cell walls (part of the genetic makeup of mushrooms) that is not digestible. The hot water extraction damages that wall, allowing your body access to the beta-glucans that make Cordyceps excellent for energy. Food in your stomach will make it hard for your body to absorb the already difficult to absorb mushrooms (not technically a mushroom, but it’s more pleasant to think of them as one). Mushroom Science and Host Defense (both in capsule form) are good brands.
== Number 4 ==
Adrafinil / Modafinil. Modafinil is legal in most countries except a few (among them the US where it is a brand name drug). While it does not boost energy directly, it acts via a still unknown mechanism to remove any feeling of fatigue. Adrafinil is an alternative, and is metabolized in your liver to Modafinil, but it has a somewhat unpleasant hangover effect, yet it is still excellent for times of extreme fatigue.
== Number 5 ==
Digestive Enzymes supplement. What? I already hear you questioning my sanity. Hold on - you know food-coma, that feeling of fatigue after a big meal? Your body is sending your reserve energy to help with digestion. A good digestive enzyme containing a good portion of the enzyme cellulase as well as lipase and manufactured by a respected company (I like MRM and NOW Foods) will reduce the infamous food coma from hours to a few minutes. This in turn makes it a phenomenal boost to your supplementation regimen.
== Number ‘6’ ==
If you were annoyed that my second recommendation isn’t available to everyone or if you just wanted more ideas, here we go: D-Aspartic Acid (for males) and Organic (very important) soy milk (for females) which boost testosterone and estrogen respectively. With the DAA it’s a good idea to do four weeks of supplementation and four weeks of no supplementation but for the soymilk (alongside the digestive enzymes) do not stop for a single day. Boosting your sex-based hormones will affect your energy in a huge way, regardless of age or other factors.
== Conclusion ==
I hope these ideas are interesting and hopefully I helped you in my first writing on this platform. Glad to be in the community here. These supplements are all very safe, with a pause at the second one, but none of them have many interactions with standard medications. Hopefully you all have a great day. And a very energizing day!
