Tyrannical Governments Start in the Home
What do Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians have in common? They are all slave to the idea that a master is required in form or another. I've been looking into the effects of different styles of parenting for a while now and the one thing that seems to remain consistent from household to household is that the child's opinion almost never carries any kind of weight, For the most part, parents have the plan and the plan was created with out the input of the child and then when the child has the audacity to take the time to ask some questions it a hassle. The child is often told that it will be explained later, not to worry about it, or if the parents are exceptional douche bags the child get a 'Cause I said so!' If the child persists in his/her inquiry, well, that's when the truly get to see the government come out in most people. The audacity, questioning a parents!
I guess the question I think every parent should ask themselves is what kind of household do I run? If your like most parents and your being honest, the answer is Tyrannical. Did you ask your child which school they wanted to go to? If they even wanted to attend school in the traditional sheeple fashion. Do you negotiate reason with your children or expect them to toe the line simply because them's 'the rules'? My point being, when 80-90% of our society believes that hitting their children is the most rational way to alter their behavior, what hope do we actually have at a peaceful, non coercive society? To those of you that apply the N.A.P. in all aspects of your life already, great, spread the philosophy. to those of you who don't let's talk. I've been having this conversation for a while everywhere I go and I have yet to hear a logical reason for hitting the defenseless yet. Give it some thought.!
