Can You Love A Girl From A Poor Background? True Life Story

Love is a two way street. In some, after nurturing it for years with a your partner, you it till death do you part. In others, it's just for mutual benefit and ones a partner sees other "better" options, they leave.

My take: We must bear in mind the Fallacy of the lonely facts. That Could is true for A and B, does not mean C is true for C and D. This is why, you can never understand love. Never allow your outward beauty/handsomeness to becloud your sense of reasoning.

Mr Eze, Your posts today reminded me of my ex wife and it brought tears down my eyes. You see ba, many ladies won't understand what some men are going through and had gone through in the hands of some gold diggers. It happened to my uncle but I failed to learn from his mistake until I was burnt seriously because I was blind and carried away by beauty.

I use to work with Julius Berger Plc as a heavy duty (tractor) operator and I was doing very well. Though I was only an SSCE holder then but I was very skilled in operating various heavy duty vehicles. Some of my colleagues advised I further my education which I did.

A former colleague assisted me to gain admission to study mechanical engineering at Yaba Tech. It was at Yeba Tech I met my ex wife. She was an HND-1 accounting student when we met. We got talking and somehow we bonded together. All through my schooling days at Yaba Tech, this girl was always by my side assisting and putting me with my school stuff whenever I'm not around. She's a regular student just like me but I barely stay in school because of work.

While we were dating, I was carried away by her smile, innocence, beauty and care. This girl was all over me and doesn't allow any girl to come close to me. She was over protective and very jealous. To me, I thought it was love not knowing that she's into me because of my money and the comfort she was enjoying. I took good care of this girl, paid her school fees till she graduated and even helped her secure a BSc admission at Unilag. If I'm not in school, she drives my car and she even have access to my house.

Two years after she graduated from Yaba Tech, we got married, did our honeymoon in Dubia and I even rented a two bedroom flat for her parents before our wedding because I wasn't comfortable with her parents accommodation.

As if that's not enough, I established my ex wife into buying and selling of females cloths and jewelries from Dubia. I was against such business but she talked me into it that that's what she wants to do. I assisted her to get a good paying job but she only worked for 7 months and quit. Complaining that the job doesn't give her time for herself. She bugged me into establishing her and I had no choice than to raise N5m for her to start her Dubai business.

2014 made it two years into our marriage, that year, I lost my job with Julius Berger when they began to lay off some workers. I was part of the unfortunate staff that was laid off.

I tried to secure another jobs at other construction companies but I wasn't lucky. I had to face my school seriously while still sourcing for another job. Before then, my wife told me to stop looking for job and join hand with her in her selling and buying business. Bro, do you know that I gave my ex wife over 9million naira to travel to Dubai and buy goods but she outsmarted me by telling me stories that she was robbed at Dubai.

I was devastated and lost hope in life. That period I felt like committing suicide. But she kept telling me to be hopeful that things will be fine and all that rubbish.

Bro, do you know that my ex wife was dating a man she met at Dubai?

Do you know that my ex wife took my money and left me for another man till today?

Do you know that when she left me for her Dubai boyfriend, she was 6 months pregnant which I feel the pregnancy wasn't for me?

You see, many ladies who are looking for well to do men are gold diggers as you rightly said. If their hubby becomes poor or loose all his wealth over night, they'd run away with another man who has money to take care of them. Do not be deceived. I know this. My uncle was a victim and I'm also a victim of such wicked ladies.

My happiness is that I now work with RCC construction company and I'm now finding my feets again gradually. My ex wife had thought me a lesson I will never forget and believe me, if I'll ever get married again, I will never marry a poor woman. If she's not earning her own income, living a comfortable life, and driving her own car my brother no relationship, and no marriage. If a woman wants to date or marry a rich man she must be rich herself. That's the rule. Enough of all the nonsense emotional blackmail.

They'd come with their beautiful faces as if those faces pays bills whereas within them, they have a hidden agenda. They want a man to escape them from poverty. What stops a woman from working and earning her own income? Must a man be the sole means to escape poverty? Bloody gold diggers.

Bro my advice to all men who are living a comfortable life is not to ever date a poor wretched girl all in the name of love. If she's not working and earning a fat salary, run away or just enjoy her for the time and look for an independent woman to settle down with. Make no mistake that you want to invest in a woman who is not working due of love or emotional blackmail.
