SECRETS OF HAPPINESS

Happiness is a choice, you cannot choose what happens, but you can choose your reaction to it and be happy. Happiness grows at our own firesides, and is not to be picked in strangers' gardens. Happiness is never stopping to think if you are. If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things

While writing this, I knew I wanted to write about Happiness, then I suddenly remembered William smith's "The pursuit of happiness". Can't remember the movie clearly but the word "Happiness" written on a placard was spelt wrongly. Instead of "Happiness", it was spelt "Happyness"
It just portrays how difficult it is to achieve happiness. It questions if something is wrong with "happiness" and also that things have fallen apart.

How expensive is happiness?
Let's make this more fun. Four baskets are placed on the floor with the inscriptions "Wealth" "Fame" "Children" and "Happiness" and everyone is asked to pick their choice.
Which one would people go for more? Or let's make it personal, which one would you go for?
I assume that about 50% or more would go for wealth while the rest would be split amongst fame, children and happiness?
Is wealth the most beautiful thing about life. I saw a picture that read this way "The most beautiful things of life are gotten with the eyes closed?
What are the most beautiful things of life?

Think about this: Which one is better? Having a head without a cap? Or having a well-adorned cap with no head?
Some chase after the cap, they run with all their might and because they are so focused on the glittering cap they see beyond, their heads fall off. Sometimes they do not even notice that their heads have fallen off. Unfortunately, they reach their destination... Alas! There is no head to wear the cap!

Let's talk more about happiness and unhappiness

Everyone knows this; money or other mundane things cannot guarantee happiness. Yes, but do people possess the right attitude towards achieving happiness?
Unhapiness in the home.
This mode of unhappiness kills faster than a bullet in the mouth. There are various reasons for unhappiness in a family but the unhappiness that comes from poverty is frustrating.
Here are some reasons for unhappiness in the home.
Nothing grieves a mother and father more than seeing their children at war with eachother.
How can children with parent who refuse to carry out their duties as parent be happy?
Sometimes I see parent storing up their money in banks, drive expensive cars and wear rich cloths, while their children live anyhow.
Just yesterday, some kids who lived next door came into our house crying because they were hungry. Their mum travelled and their Dad dropped #150 naira for them to feed the whole day with no foodstuff at home.
These Kids were about the age of 9 - 16. One thing caught my attention about the kids; the girl about the age of 14. I watched her all through the few hours they spent in our house. She frowned all through. Her eyes harboured an intense hate, yet I could see how sad she was.
Teenagers have the problem of thinking up weird things in their head. They say statements like "Mum does not like me" or "They prefer Junior to me.
Such thought breeds unhappiness.

Everyone deserves to be happy. Happiness is a treatment for the "cheating that life brings.
To bring about happiness, understanding needs to be established.
Everyone needs to have the same mindset, by this oppression, exploitation and hearbreaks would reduce but is it possible for everyone to have the same mindset?

The steemit site on the blockchain is a good example of how the world needs to relate with one another.
It is a beautiful definition of give and take. On steemit, you cannot survive alone. You need others.
You cannot get there alone, you need the votes of others and you need to vote others.
Just like a ring of beads, every single bead counts.
If you cannot be the change, then bring about a change.

Silence is another means to happiness.
Everyone who wants to fight has just one prayer point, that their opponent should also be willing to fight else they would be embarking on a mission to portray themselves as fools.

When angry or heartbroken, sometimes especially when that's the best option, it pays to keep quiet than to spill the venom in your heart. It may hurt but don't we all agree that it isn't about the means but the end?
Because in the end, you would suffer two damages. Damages from your own words and your opponent's word.

Dependency
Dependency sometimes breeds unhappiness. By being dependent, we make the mistake of believing in others instead of ourselves. We see others instead of ourselves.
Some people cannot even do their work without seeking their friend's opinion. What if this friend begins to act funny?
People make the mistake of believing in others first before believing in themselves. This lifestyle threatens happiness.
I love saying this: "In life, we should do only the things that makes us happy" Even if it hurts, Even if we have to sacrifice, in as much as it makes us happy, then it's the best option because as they say it is not how far but how well.

This life is not a straight one, just while writing this posts, I see the conflict it contains: Be dependent, don't be dependent, Do what makes you HAPPY even if it's HURTS?
You see how the world can be beautiful and ugly at the same time? Then we can only bring about balance by helping and saving each other.
Listen, you would hear the sad music that comes from weeping hearts, and these weeping hearts are just about everywhere.
