LAZY NIGERIAN YOUTHS: NO!!
Lazy Nigerian Youths
Just recently, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria Mr Mohammed buhari said that;
More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free.
Are Nigerian youth lazy?
I asked myself is the president right or wrong? what he said was he saying it out of anger or could it be that he meant it?
Taking a walk down the street, where the gate to my university is located, I pondered on this issue.
Checking the dictionary for the definition of lazy.
"Unwilling to do work or make an effort; disinclined to exertion."
Are nigerian youth lazy? are they unwilling to do work? No, there as to be a reason for him saying that because I believe no reasonable leader will be happy downgrading his followers who entrusted him the position he occupies.
My view
As I walked by the popular bosso market, this market located in the bosso local government area in minna Niger state, is popular because of its closeness to the federal university of technology minna, which is a very important landmark in Niger state. I saw a man (a nigerian youth) off-loading bread from his bike, which he had fixed a large wooden box so he could carry much. looking left deep into the market I saw this young lady, dark in complexion, has a figure eight shape and was pretty in face, she carried a tray on her head containing take-away plates of food selling. on further information after asking around how good her food was, I got to know that she actually had a shop, I was perplexed wondering why she was Hawking when she had a shop. The man who told me she had a shop later smiled and said she cooks and serve customers in her shop but when the customers reduce she leaves her sisters at the shop and sell round the market in take-home plates. Has the president of Nigeria ever been to the market? or has his memories of going to the market crawl out of his head now that he is the number 1 man in the country?
On reaching home, I saw my friend working on his laptop trying to perfect his website and complete his online businesses. The internet is a big prove that nigerian youths are not lazy.
Go to the blogs of many nigerian youths here on Steemit you will know they are not lazy check the blogs of @ejemai @nairadaddy @iconnelly @michaelscofield @sistem @surpassinggoogle @anjiba @fatherfaith @jesse12 @inspiregideon01 @tojukaka @enolife @udeze @owen121 @juiletisrael

The president clearly doesn't understand nigerian youths
why did I say that? in his statement he said
"More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free."
I believe nigerian youths only want the government to fulfil their duties and responsibilities as leaders and not to go and publicly downgrade them.
When it comes to business which countries youth can compete with the Igbos and Yoruba youths of Nigeria?
When it comes to rearing animals, who can compete with the Fulani oh my they can kill for their cattle?
Nigerian youths are the most enthusiastic, hardworking set of youths a nation can ever have.
Please I ask name something in this world (designer, shoe, bag e.t.c) and tell me if aba boys don't have the same.
Nigerian youths are talented, they are making waves in the entertainment, business and even agricultural industries.
Nigerian youths deserve accolades
Nigerian youths deserve a leader who values them, a leader who respects beyond gender not a leader who publicly announces that his wife belongs in the other room
Nigerian youths deserve a leader who will use the natural resources God has blessed Nigerian with to make the nation a better place.
oh Nigerian youths
strong in hearth
and in might
intelligent and hardworking
caring kind and enthusiastic
nigerian youths
leaders of tomorrow
