Thank God it's friday!!! Whew finally we can catch our breath from the activities that rocked out week.
The third week in April 2018 would be one week few Nigerians especially those resident in the Federal Capital Territory would forget in a hurry. It is a true reflection of where the nation is heading to if measures are not taken

Bright sunny day and everyone was eager to return back to work after a beautiful weekend. The streets of Abuja were busy as usual as hustling begins. Navigating was better this day than the weekend because the Islamic group Tijaniyya had a rally and members nationwide converged for a spiritual exercise in the FCT.
The unity fountain is a serene area close to the most popular park in Abuja The Millennium park we all love a good spot to relax no matter what time it is. The Islamic Movement also known as the Shia were staying a protest over the continued detection of their leader Sheik Zakzaaky for treasinae offences. What was supposed to be a peaceful march ended up being a wild riot as protesters clashed with the police. It was as though a bomb had been delineated serenity gave way to stampede and everyone were running for cover except the Shia boys who stood their ground until about 115 were arrested by security forces.
The streets were cleared when the military took over

Tuesday was seemed it was going to be an understatement eventful day until some pocketful of Shiites regrouped for a second phase of their protest. Once again they were dislodged by the combined team of the military and the police.

Was a National Day of Shame. Politicians, and Security agents showed the world that few thugs Gould razzle them in their own territory without any form of opposition.
While our Senators showcased their Mortal Kombat skills - Throwing and receiving punches and kicks and chairs at each other - a recently suspended senator Omo Agege walks into the Senate building flanked by his thugs snatch the mace and went out of the building with all the security agents watching the entire scene.
After the drama, Senator Omo Agege took his seat throughout the session. He was consequently arrested at the end of the days session and ironically he claimed he didn't know anything about any Mace snatching issue
Thursday 19-04-2018
Senator Omo Agege got a court order restraining the police from arresting him.
The mace was recovered but nothing was heard about the thugs who snatched it in the first place.
While everyone were still laughing over the Senate drama, our commander in chief President Muhammad Buhari was addressing the Commonwealth and he referenced the Nigerian youth as lazy illiterates who wanted government freebies.
"...More than 60 per cent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education free..."
These words sent shock waves across the nation generating several responses on and off social media. The presidential media officers said it was an issue of semantics stating that the president didn't mean it as it was said...

Still smarting from the week's drama, there seemed to be a general awakening among the masses oncerning several national issues.
Nobody knows the direction the nation is headed with regards to economic development, security and above all youth development. Politicians are scheming for their return to power in 2019, Thuggery is at an all time high with the politicians as the main sponsors and here's is our president deriding the abilities of the youth in in international stage.
The stage has hereby been set for the youth to make a final stand - Destination 2019
