Encouraging the use of the #nigeria and #africa tags

Once upon a time, a few months ago, I could say that the population of Nigerians on steemit were quite few, probably numbering somewhere around a hundred active users. Fast forward to now and it seems there is now an upsurge of Nigerians on steemit! .

Africans in general have been taking over the steemit community little by little, posts from south Africans, Nigerians and others are hitting hard on steemit right now.

Still so far, I've seen some marvelous posts by Africans suffer from lack of attention due to improper use of tags.

It would be beneficial to all of us if Nigerians and africans could use the tags as much as possible, in conjunction with other tags.

Encouraging the use of good content

Also as much as users post good content, the feeds and tags also get littered with bad content. Plagiarized works, spams, "tweets" and the likes. This behavior not only makes it harder to find good content, it also reduces the value of steemit as a whole.

we should all try and support each other as much as possible as Africans.

we should all try and use the tags as often as possible, whenever the chance may arise.

Africans should Identify as Africans on steemit.
