Samsung integrates NFT transactions right on the TV

South Korean electronics giant Samsung has announced that its Consumer Electronics Show (CES) offerings for 2022 will include a range of TVs equipped with an app that allows users to browse, buy and sell products. non-fungible token ( NFT ).

In an official release, Samsung explained that the app will be called NFT Platform and include the following description:

" The app has an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, buying, and trading digital art.”
The added app will become standard on Micro LED, Neo QLED and The Frame models as part of the new “Smart Hub”.

Engadget further reports that the platform will “takes NFTs from several markets, so users can preview the work and see other relevant details,” including details like “who created the work, as well as the relevant blockchain metadata”

“Those who already own NFT can also use the platform to showcase their collection.”

Some Samsung TV models – including The Frame – allow owners to display conventional or digital artwork when they are not watching TV or streaming video.

A wide range of free and purchasable images were made available to users through a platform run by Samsung, but allowing TV viewers to explore the world of NFTs – and even trade them in using Their TV – is a new step for the company.
