The bitcoin rally looks like it's finally running out of steam.

The cryptocurrency blew past $2,500 and nearly touched $2,800 for the first time on Thursday, before giving all the gains back.

It hit a high of $2,799, up $360, before surrendering its gains. The cryptocurrency is now trading down 9.2% at $2,230 a coin. It has gained in 26 of the past 29 sessions, tacking on more than 107% over that time.

Bitcoin had climbed as much as 25% since Tuesday's close, propelled by news that the Digital Currency Group, representing 56 companies in 21 countries, reached a scaling agreement at the Consensus 2017 conference in New York.

definitely think its just ppl taking profit. we'll be back on the up and up very soon in my opinion @everittdmickey

that appears to be correct.
1 Bitcoin equals 2500.00 US Dollar right now. It's recovering.

I feel good about this little correction, I'd be worried if it went over 5,000 without a correction but this seems organic and healthy.

not worried for a moment....watch what happens over the next 5 days....this is what it will be like on it's way to $10k +

and steem with it (up %3.51 in the last 24hrs)

yep...not to worry. I say this because nothing has changed about the befits and it's application...this may have been done on purpose and driven so people panic....or hyped.

there is recent trend where at certain times of the day prices go down and then they recover even stronger. Daytrading is very advantageous at the moment.

Hey, I used to be a trucker for a little while too. Glad to be out of that box.:)

Wow! You're a veteran of the road. I was only for a few years, but most of it was local and statewide.

none of mine was local. I was OTR the whole time.

Yeah, I didn't expect you to be a local guy. You must have been an O/O too. I did a few month's OTR in all 48, but I don't like the mountains! I was raised in New England, so I know how to drive in the snow and rain, but don't like the heavy weight coming down mountains. :)

not only was

I O/O and OTR...for the last 15 or so years I was heavy haul.

That's my baby....a W900B KW with a 500Hp cat and 18 speed transmixer.
I bought it new and put damn near 2 million miles on it., lived in in, and hauled a BUNCH of different kinds of stuff.

.

.
but I pretty much specialized in hauling these.

Wanna hear about MOUNTAINS? Guess where we put those things. Up high where the wind blows stronger.

Very sharp rig, and nice pictures! KW's are so smooth. They are the Rolls Royce of trucks. I have driven a couple. :)

Flat beds are cool. A lot more work than Refers, Tanks, and Vans, in terms of keeping an eye on the load.

I only weigh 160lbs, and on my first month hauling flatbeds I busted my ear open on a tie down check. It kicked back on me about 3am on I80. I was half asleep, and was still in training with a trainer. I can't sleep in truck, so I didn't get a good night sleep in weeks. I shouldn't have been out there! I got off the road after that incident. I told the company "I quit!" :) It wasn't the injury, I've had much worse on motorcycles, but not sleeping for weeks is stupid, and not worth the pay!

Yeah, you must have some good wisdom from your years of experience in the mountains, especially with extended and oversize loads. I know about downshifting before going over a crest, and letting the engine maintain the speed, using the brake to stay maintain control of the excessive speeds. Are there any other secrets for mountains?

Its just had to make a correction after that rally.
Remember this is a "money market" and profit takers will jump in every time it has rocket too quick.. and no worries.. This will recover quick the the past high will soon be passed.
