Welcome! Steemit as a whole can defintely change the game. Bitcoin (& altcoins) is/are revolutionizing the banking while steemit is taking it even further.
You'll find out quickly that Steemit and Steem is very useful for small time bloggers and veterans.
Yeah I can see that banks are getting interested in it. I mean how could they not, the love to make money.
I am not even sure if I full grasp the concept yet, but I am trying to.
