The train connecting South Korea-North Korea will resume operations

The Gyeongui rail network is a channel from Seoul to North Korea through the middle of the Korean Peninsula.

Both railway networks were first built by the Japanese colonial government while trying to defend its influence in the northwestern region of China, including Manchuria, which was a source of conflict with Russia and China in World War II.
Meanwhile, after being separated after the end of the Korean War in 1953, parts of the Gyeongui rail network in North Korea were lost by the development of border areas, including the Military Ban Zone.
